Three-legged dog always mourns for his friends by laying by their gravesites

It’s incredible how emotional clever dogs can be. They may build genuine love bonds with both humans and other animals… When a loved one dies, they seem to understand.

Dogs, like humans, may go through their own grief process. That was the case for one dog, who showed his loyalty by visiting his friends’ graves every day after they died.

Tricycle, a three-legged golden retriever rescue, resides at the Horse Creek Stable Rescue Sanctuary in Mineral Bluff, Georgia.

Tricycle has always had enough of other animals to make friends with while living at the farm sanctuary. Dogs, llamas, and alpacas are among the special-needs animals accepted by the organization.

Major, a St. Bernard/mastiff mix, was one of the first animals he became attached to.

Major died away in 2016, and Tricycle looked to be saddened.

Major, like all the other animal rescues that died, was buried on the farm and given his own cemetery headstone. However, after burying him, the rescuers discovered something unusual: Tricycle would remain at the burial, grieving his old friend:

He continued to come for approximately three days, and his owners understood he was in distress.

“Like many of us, there’s a feeling of loss that we all need to deal through,” the sanctuary’s owner, Lester Aradi, told People. “Animals, like humans, experience loss.”

Tricycle has been observed crying for all the animals that have died, revealing that it wasn’t simply a particular bond he had with Major.

Trixie, an alpaca, died recently, and the dog was located near her grave.

It’s a touching tale about how genuine animal love can be and how dogs, like humans, can experience complicated emotions.
