This adorable pup was so thankful for being rescued that he immediately hugged his new best friends.
Mr. Snufflufugus is a five-year-old man who was recently abandoned and forced to fend for himself on the streets of Texas.
He was terrified and raced throughout Copperas Cove, Texas, hoping that someone would find him and aid him.
The local animal control shelter was informed, and happily, the staff were able to locate the poor puppy and bring him there.
This lovely canine was so grateful to be saved that he quickly hugged his new best mates, melting everyone’s heart at the animal control shelter.
A staff member who was present spotted this touching moment and immediately took a photograph.
This image rapidly went popular, with people sharing it and advocating for Mr. Snufflufugus’ adoption.
“Victoria and I were in the play area with Mr. Snufflufugus when he decided he needed a hug,” Tamara Hall, the animal control supervisor, told The Dodo.
They quickly discovered that Mr. Snufflufugus was a snuggle bug who adored being hugged. Everyone at the shelter fell in love with this sweet boy right away.
“If you’re sitting on the floor or on the ground, he’ll climb into your lap or snuggle up next to you to get your attention.” “He looks up for attention with his irresistible sweet eyes,” Hall added.
Mr. Snufflufugus is quite nice and enjoys sleeping, in addition to offering the best hugs.
Victoria posted on her Facebook page: “He would rather sit on the couch and be a potato, a good potato who gets many head scratches and gets to sit on your chest and snore, and is told quite often what a good boy he is.”
Mr. Snufflufugus got quite famous after the Copperas Cove Police Department tweeted the lovely photo of him, and the animal control shelter received countless applications for this good boi.
“Thank you ALL for expressing interest in Mr. Snufflufugus and for sharing our post!” they commented on Facebook. We recently realised that he requires a single pet home with no young children. While he is quite affectionate, this could cause problems in a home if he grows possessive of the adult owner.”
Unfortunately, the small shelter did not have enough assets to handle everything, therefore Mr. Snufflufugus was taken to Pit Squad Rescue in Minnesota. Pit Squad will be able to interview all possible adopters and find this adorable dog the best home.
He needs to be treated for heartworm, which will cost a lot of money, but they are happy to give this sweet boy a second shot.

Mr. Snufflufugus appears to be in love with his foster family, as they appear to be with him.
