A Rescue Dog Meets Her New Human Dad And Can’t Stop Hugging Him

Just as they were grieving, Maggie showed up in their lives and they knew they had to keep her.

Losing a dog is one of life’s most terrible experiences. There is nothing that can prepare you for that, just nothing.

You spend so much time worrying about whether he had what he needed or whether you were the ideal person for him. There is nothing that can cure the pain of heartbreak, but there are ways to alleviate it.

A new rescue dog that was just as happy to meet the Mccraws provided some solace.

The Mccraw family was just crushed after losing their pet dog, Mischka, to cancer.

Maggie appeared in their lives just when they were grieving, and they knew they had to keep her.

Halfway There Rescue arranged for them to meet in South Carolina, and their contact was quite beneficial.

McrCraw admitted to The Dodo, “She melted my heart.” We had lost our other dog a few months before meeting Maggie, so in my view, this was just a meet and greet. At the time, I didn’t think I was ready for a new dog.

Mary and her husband, Mark, fell in love with the new dog right away. On their first meeting, she exuded all of her charisma, and it felt like they were meant to be together.

Maggie was just cuddling her new human dad the entire time as a big thank you for saving her.

Maggie had been abused by her previous owners, and her only purpose was breeding, which shocked the McCraws. She was left alone once they finished with her.

She spent some time in foster care with Andra Mack after her rescue, where she relearned to trust humans.

Mack described her as “one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever fostered.” My husband and I just stared at one other when Maggie met her new father because we knew. It was like something out of a movie.

But it was time for her to go to her forever home in South Carolina, and the McCraws were more than happy to take her in.

Mack, too, noticed their connection. They were meant to be together, she added. The beam of sunlight shown in the video leads me to assume that their old dog, Mischka, was beaming down on the meeting.

In times like these, we can thank these amazing folks for assisting a dog in desperate need and promising to care for her. I wish them the best of luck in their new travels.
